Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated · June 2026

How billing, cancellation, and refunds work on HIKMA. We aim to be straightforward: you can cancel anytime, you keep access through what you've paid for, and we don't make you jump through hoops.

This policy is a draft pending review by counsel. The final terms may be adjusted, and nothing here overrides rights you have under applicable consumer law.

1. How billing works

HIKMA offers a free tier and paid plans (Standard and Pro). Paid plans are billed in advance for the chosen billing period (for example, monthly or annually) through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically until you cancel.

2. Cancelling

You can cancel anytime from your account settings — no email or phone call required. Cancellation stops future renewals; we will not charge you again once you cancel.

3. What happens to your access

When you cancel, your paid access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for. After that, your account moves to the free tier. Your study data is not deleted simply because you downgrade.

4. Refunds

Because plans are billed in advance and you keep access for the full period, we generally do not provide pro-rata refunds for partial billing periods — except where a refund is required by applicable law. If something went wrong — a duplicate charge, a billing error, or a technical problem that prevented you from using the service — contact us and we'll make it right.

5. EU/UK right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase. HIKMA is a digital service, so when you ask us to start providing it immediately you may be asked to acknowledge that beginning to use the service can reduce or end that withdrawal right once performance has started. Where the right still applies, we will refund you in line with the law. This does not affect any other statutory rights you have.

6. Founding-cohort pricing

Consistent with our Terms of Service, founding-cohort pricing, where offered, applies for as long as a subscription remains continuously active. If you cancel and later resubscribe, that founding rate may no longer be available and current pricing will apply.

7. How to get help

For billing questions, cancellation help, or to request a refund you believe you're entitled to, email [email protected]. Tell us your account email and what happened, and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product and our plans evolve. Material changes will be posted here with a new date above.
