Attributions & Licenses

Last updated · June 2026

HIKMA is built on the work of many open-source authors and creators. This page credits the third-party software, typefaces, and assets we ship in the product, and the licenses they're used under.

HIKMA's clinical content is independently authored by us. Reference corpora and source materials are used internally to inform and validate that content — they are not redistributed through the product.

Open-source software

The HIKMA web app and services depend on a wide range of open-source libraries, used under their respective licenses. A few that ship directly in the interface:

  • lucide-react — icon set used throughout the UI. ISC License.
  • React and Vite — the application framework and build tooling. MIT License.

We are grateful to the maintainers of these and the many other packages in our dependency tree. Full license texts ship with each package in our distribution.

Typefaces

  • Crimson Pro — used for headings and editorial text. SIL Open Font License 1.1.
  • Inter — used for body and interface text. SIL Open Font License 1.1.

Illustrations & medical art

Where the interface uses third-party medical or anatomical illustrations, they are credited here under their licenses:

  • Servier Medical Art — medical illustration elements, where used. Licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 (CC BY 3.0).

Additional illustration sources will be listed here as they are introduced, with their creators and license terms.

A note on our clinical content

The cases, explanations, and study material in HIKMA are written by us against curated medical references and a reviewer workflow. We use reference corpora internally — to ground and check accuracy — and do not republish or redistribute those sources. AI-assisted output is generated within our own pipeline and reviewed before it reaches you.

Corrections

We try to credit everything accurately. If you believe an asset or library is missing, miscredited, or used outside its license, please let us know at [email protected] and we'll fix it promptly.
